What I love and hate about TV news!

I'll freely admit there there is MUCH more to hate about today;s generation of tv news, there are a couple of guilty pleasures about it. Check out this clip, and then we'll go through the laundry list:

Let's go through it:

Things to hate:

  • Annoying-voiced "Woman on the street" interviewes who obviously got their job by sucking dick, because they have no other marketable talent.
  • Fear-mongering on something so trivial as "bed bugs," when there's a whole lot of other shit going on in the world.
  • AND THEN BLAMING other countries and nationalities for creating this "bed bug" epidemic.

The one thing to love:

  • Apparently, there's still a place for dirty old perverts to be employed -- as morning news anchors!! Check out that dried up old scumbag and his "panties" and "purse sniffing." Now I know there's still hope for me to by employed in my 50's.

Basically, what I'm saying is "Fuck the news, it sucks." However, I like to find some fun in everything, so it's nice to see that even a piece-of-shit medium like that still has something going for it.

The best possible way to express how we ALL should feel about the self-centred crazies!!

As many of you know, I am a HUGE Opie and Anthony fan. I just need to share this clip that has been buzzing around and how accurate it is:

We all have self-centred people in our lives who don't get what an annoyance they are. Unfortunately, even when you try to gently let them know, it goes in one ear and out the other. Well Jim Norton, 3rd Mic on the O&A XM show and stand-up comic ewxtraordinaire discuss his take on these kind of people, and I don't believe it's ever been expressed more accurately and passionately.....EVER!!!! It's in two parts, so check it out:

PART 1:

PART 2:

You're my Hero, Mr. Norton. For more on this, follow Jim on @jimnorton on twitter.

When real life gets in the way...

It's nice to see someone is doing well in this economy, and good on this guy for interrupting an otherwise boring newscast....

Happiness comes in small moments, folks. And this guy gets a quick double shot of celebrity AND cash.

Cheers to you, my friend.

Why the hell didn't I end the radio show with this song today?

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day, and give a quick musical tribute on the day with an artist who I still love. I loved the playboy interview (the whole 'Sexual Napalm' and even the 'I'm not a white supremist, but my cock is' were ridiculous and irresponsible quotes, but they cracked me up nonetheless.) No matter what have you have to say about what the dude says, you gotta love John Mayer's music (well, I guess you don't have to, but I do.)

Happy Guinness day, Y'all

Merry Christmas, Y'all.

Just a quick note to say Merry Christmas to everyone out there. I fully realize that I don't update this Blog nearly enough, but I'm working on changing that for the New Year.

It's been an interesting (read that as absolutely awesome and absolutely shitty all at the same time) December, but I just want to thank all my friends for sticking with me, as well as all of the fans of the radio show and my comedy efforts. I'm currently in the midst of a couple of new projects, and will alert you of their launches. If you already know about this site, they won't be hard to find. Trust me.

In closing, I just wanted to share this little video I found on YouTube....This is what Christmas really means to me:

Happy Thanksgiving to my American Friends

A buddy of mine (Davepye.com) just sent me to this video in celebration of his turkey day, and I just had to share the link with all of you. I don't have any preaching or editorializing to do today. I just want to share three minutes and change of some stupid thanksgiving comedy with y'all. Enjoy, suckas!!

Some interesting economic history...

Now I hardly consider myself any kind of conspiracy theorist, because I have too many things going on in life to manufacture any new kind of fear. But what I do love to do is investigate things, question everything, and then be free to make up my mind. Freedom of thought, speech and opinion is extremely important to me. So in these days of economic "uncertainty," it's always a good idea to look at the top of the food chain in order to why we are where we are. So i was introduced to this video by a friend of mine, and I encourage everyone else out there to do the same. This, as all editorial, should NEVER be taken as gospel, but arming yourself with knowledge is a very important thing. Check it out, think about the state of finances and who's got the money, and make up your own mind. The video's in 5 parts, and they're presented in their proper order in the window below....

Later, folks. Watch your cash and watch your ass....
